04 Oct Inspiration and the Emotionally Intelligent Leader

One signature behavior of emotionally intelligent leaders is inspiration. Those who know me well know that I’m a recovering English teacher with a love for words.  The word, “inspire” literally means “to give life.”  

One of the best ways you can give life is simply to start out every day with a message of gratitude to your team.  (For you overachievers, send a message to your leader or someone else who has made your life easier.)  

Imagine opening up your inbox and seeing an email from your leader that says:  

“Thank you all for staying so adaptable.”  

“I’m so grateful we can depend on our team to get the job done.” 

“I appreciate all of the sacrifices each of you are making.”
